Cancer Fighting Super Food

If you want to reduce your risk of cancer, look no further than your fridge. Aim for at least five to nine daily servings of all kinds of fruits and vegetables especially these six:

1. BROCCOLI: All calciferous veggies contain cancer fighting properties, but broccoli is the only one with a size able amount of sulforaplane, a particular potent compounds that boosts the body's protective enzymes and flushes out cancer-causing chemicals. It also targets cancer stem cells. Brocooli helps fight: breast, liver, lung, prostrate, skin, stomach and bladder cancers so add broccoli  to whatever you can, from salads to omelets to the top of your pizza.

2. BERRIES: All berries are packed with cancer fighting phytonutrients.But black raspberries in particular contain very high concentrations of phytochemicals called anthocyanins which slow down the growth of premalignment cells and keep new blood vessels from forming. Berries help fight colon, esophaeal, oral and skin cancer. A half cup serving of berries a day may help your health.

3. TOMATOES: This is the best dietary source of lycopene, a caroteniod that gives tomatoes their red colour. Lycopene was found to stop endometrial cancer cell growth in a study in nutrition and cancer. Endometrial cancer causes nearly 8000 deaths a year in the United States. 
Tomatoes help fight  endometrial, lung, prostrate and stomach cancers. The biggest benefits care from cooked tomatoes, since the heating process increases the amount of lycopene your body is able to absorb.

4. WALNUTS: Their cholesterol-like molecule found in plant have been shown to block estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells, possibly slowing the cells growth. Walnuts fight breast and prostrate cancer. An ounce of walnuts a day may yield the best benefits.

5.GARLIC: Phytochemicals in garlic have been found to halt the formation of nitrosamines, carcinogens formed in the stomach and intestines when you consume nitrates, a common food preservative. Garlic helps to fight breast, colon, esophageal and stomach cancers. Sprinkle crushed garlic into rich tomato sauce while it simmers.

6. BEANS: Black beans significantly reduces colon cancer. Dried beans is particularly effective in preventing breast cancer. Beans help fight breast and colon cancers. Add beans to your usual rotation of greens and veggies a few times a week; either can, dry soaked or cooked beans.
